Catherine Margaret Webb (b. 2000) is a visual artist and a recent graduate of Yale University, where she double majored in Art and Environmental Justice. Catherine plans to pursue her oil painting practice on the East Coast full-time for the next few years. Catherine grew up in Southern California and is a member of the Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma. Ever since stewarding a Three Sisters garden her senior year of high school, she has grown a passion for Indigenous foodways and food sovereignty activism. She is committed to caring for the land and future generations. For Catherine, painting is a creative medium to imagine more just futures and is a practice to sustain herself as she advocates for change-making. While Catherine continues exploring different painting styles, her interest in color, identity, light, mark-making and visual storytelling remains consistent.
