Sam Wrigglesworth (they/she, b. 1995) is an emerging photographer and arts worker based in Oregon. Their practice focuses on interrelations between memory, landscape, and expanding narratives surrounding feminist/queer representation and histories. Since graduating with a BFA in Photography from the University of Oregon in 2019, they have shown work in galleries in the Pacific Northwest including Blue Sky/Oregon Center for the Photographic Arts, Photographic Center Northwest, Tropical Contemporary, Astoria Visual Arts, Carnation Contemporary and SOIL.
Sam has participated in artist residencies including School of the Alternative (Black Mountain, North Carolina) and Sitka Center for Art and Ecology (Otis, Oregon). Recently, Sam has directed the Transformation artist residency program for trans* artists in Oregon, curated an exhibition at ANTI-AESTHETIC in Eugene, Oregon and has been a contributing arts writer at Variable West.
