Description
For this workshop, students will engage with the medium of encaustic painting fused together with assemblage. Assemblage is a style of art making where sculptures bring together found objects to make a 3-D form.

Students will be taught the process of apply encaustic paint to panel, along with vary techniques of collage and floral design to be incorporated into these works.
Students will be taken on “curiosity walks” to gather materials to use in their paintings. The Instructor will demonstrate techniques for adding these materials, as well as giving historical context for how encaustic paint has been utilized overtime.
