Description

In this beginner-friendly workshop, students will create ceramic slab sculptures that incorporate local materials found near the Sitka Center. After a short morning hike and discussion about local materials, students will return to the studio to design and construct their slab sculptures. Students will be guided through the process of rolling out clay slabs, incorporating their locally found materials, and construction of leather-hard clay slabs.
