Do you enjoy taking walks along the beach? Do you have a collection of beautiful small beach rocks and beach glass? We invite you to join our fun three-day workshop where you can transform these treasures into wearable art! You’ll learn the basics of stone-setting techniques and metalsmithing skills while creating rings, pendants, and earrings. Don’t worry if you’re a beginner—no experience is necessary!

About the Instructor

Junko Iijima is an inspiring educator and artist from North Portland.

Originally from Japan, she came to the U.S as a high school exchange student and later earned an MFA in Metalsmithing from the University of Oregon. Junko has taught art courses at various colleges and universities. Currently, she empowers both youth and adults through metalsmithing classes at the Multnomah Art Center and Clackamas Community College
