Guidelines for Visiting the Sitka Center during Workshop Season


  • Lunch and refreshments: Please bring your own lunch. Microwaves and refrigerators are available. Coffee and tea are complimentary. Light snacks and canned beverages are available for purchase.
  • Parking: Park only in Sitka Center-designated areas.
  • No onsite camping, including sleeping vehicles, is permitted.
  • Vehicle restrictions:  Campers, boats, trailers, or oversized vehicles are not permitted at Sitka or in the surrounding neighborhood. 
  • Smoking Policy: The Sitka Center is a smoke-free and e-cigarette-free environment.
  • Health and safety: Sitka’s health and safety policies, including COVID precautions, may change according to current guidelines.
  • Pets: Leave pets at home. Pets are not allowed anywhere on campus, including outdoor spaces, studios, residences, offices or in parked cars. Service animals are welcome; please notify our team in advance.
  • Accessibility: If stairs are a concern, we can provide assistance and an alternative drop-off point. Please contact the office in advance to arrange.
  • Office hours: For further assistance, call during our summer office hours, 9am-5pm, M-F. For weekend help during workshop season, a staff person will be available on site to assist you.
