- Photography 2025
Takaaki Okada is grateful for the opportunity to explore this precious human life through artistic and spiritual practices.
He was born in Tokyo, Japan and lives in Portland, Oregon. He is humbled to serve these following roles for organizations that he admires and respects: Art Crew at APANO; member at Columbia University School of the Arts’ Digital Storytelling Lab; Advisory Council member at OK You; and Local Dharma Leader at Seattle Insight Meditation Society.
In his own words, Takaaki shares : “I wouldn’t be here without the wisdom, patience, and generosity of my mother, my father and my family, my ancestors and all ancestors, my mentors and teachers, and my beautiful friends. I bow deeply to my grandfather who lived the life of an artist. May my practice be a gesture of respect to the land which has been stewarded by Indigenous tribes and peoples since time immemorial.”
