Fiona Glen

  • Writing: Poetry 2025

Fiona Glen is a writer and artist from Edinburgh, Scotland, who recently moved to Vancouver, Canada.

Her work explores how we live with and within each other as part of an interconnected biosphere. Glen’s poetry and prose has been published by journals and presses including Gutter, Prototype, HarperCollins, Dorling Kindersley, and ArtReview.

Passionate about sharing collaborative and interdisciplinary writing in new ways, Glen has taught writing workshops at organisations including Polygon Gallery (Vancouver) and Camden Art Centre (London). Together with Nina Hanz, Glen wrote an experimental collection of poetry – ‘Mycoglossia’ (HVTN, 2022) – which gives rise to many mycelial voices. ‘Mycoglossia’ has been performed in different formats in four countries, and is currently being recorded as part of a forthcoming album with Modern Biology (Tarun Nayar), who modulates the bioelectricity of mushrooms and plants into music.
