Quinha Faria

  • Interdisciplinary 2025

Quinha Faria is an artist and Registered Nurse whose interdisciplinary practice explores care, healing, and interdependence through sculpture, painting, textiles, and installation.

Drawing from her background in emergency medicine and tailoring, she works with materials like wood, sisal, wool, and used clothing to reveal layers of wear, adaptation, and resilience. Her work examines the tension between repair and maintenance, considering how language, labor, and community shape our understanding of healing. Faria’s tactile works invite participation and reflection. She has exhibited at Vox Populi and Asian Arts Initiative in Philadelphia, Frieze New York, and Carnation Contemporary in Portland.
