Description

An introduction to screen printing for artists, poster makers, and folks who have always been curious about the medium. Over two days, artists will develop their own 8.5 x 11 inch edition screenprint. Wendy has a unique, punk, DIY approach to screen printing. Artists will draw, cut, and print their own stencils. To start, we will create a collaborative print to get a feel for the medium. Then, with Wendy’s guidance and considering your skill level and experience, artists will learn how to develop screen prints from photos/drawings and draw and cut color separations. We will each make a small multi-color screen print. The workshop will be intense but fun! We will work with water-based inks and hand-cut stencils, and leave the workshop inspired to make their own prints at home.
