Description

This immersive, hands-on workshop explores the art and science of natural perfume composition through direct engagement with the landscape and raw botanical materials. Over three days, participants will learn the fundamentals of fragrance structure, blending techniques, and material study while working with a wide range of professional-grade essential oils, rare flower absolutes, and natural isolates.

As part of the workshop, we’ll explore scent directly within the Sitka campus and neighboring nature preserve, responsibly harvesting and distilling a forest hydrosol as an opportunity to experience aroma at its source and translate the living landscape into fragrance form.

Participants will leave with their own custom, alcohol-based perfume, samples, and the knowledge of how to continue the practice at home.
