Description
In this class we will explore creating figurative work using ink, watercolor, acrylic paint, gouache, colored pencil and collage. We will experiment with materials, spend some time working abstractly, and find ways to sink into the process of art making. From this space we can create more free flowing and organic illustrations. We will discuss narrative and symbols in our work as well as basic design and flow.
This class is appropriate for both illustrators and fine artists. Some experience drawing is helpful, but not mandatory. We will be doing some collaboration and reflection exercises that benefit from having new or outside perspectives to the art world.
Expect to get messy, play with your materials, talk about your work, and find fun in creating art again.
