Description
Participants will learn how to weave a traditional European stake and strand willow basket. The process of weaving includes learning techniques and patterns alongside the freedom to explore personal style and creativity. Students will take home a round wicker basket woven by their own hands over two days.
Materials List
You will need to bring:
A small sharp knife and a pair of garden clippers (hand pruners).
Provided by instructors:
A mixture of wild harvested and cultivated willow. Soaked and prepared for weaving. As well as books and examples for participants to engage with.
