Description
Learn how to create stained glass projects in the traditional leaded method. Designed for all skill levels to learn about the leading method and detailed techniques, we will cover assembly and construction techniques for completing two projects: a small suncatcher and a 9 x 10 leaded panel framed in lead came. This class is geared towards all skill levels, from beginner to advanced, and will include cutting glass, leading, soldering, and framing. Extensive demonstrations will include practical application of the glazing process and provide participants with enough experience to make leaded glass panels on their own. This workshop involves breaking glass, soldering, using chemicals, and handling lead, which is not considered harmful while observing basic precautions. Gloves, closed-toe shoes, and long pants are required. Nitrile gloves will be provided. Eye protection will be provided for the grinding station. Please bring your own eye protection if you prefer to use it for your personal workstation.
