Isabela Miñana Lovelace

In her work, she explores the themes of comfort, home, connection, and materiality in relation to extreme events. For IML’s 2025 solo show at Chinatown Soup in New York, NY, she employed weaving and growing hair as memory practices within domestic settings, questioning how comfort is constructed in times of disaster. She currently works as a researcher and assistant painter for the Social and Public Art Resource Center’s (SPARC) Great Wall project and recently received an M.S. in Environmental Science with a specialty in Behavior, Education, & Communication and Environmental Justice.
