Scott Meiners is a plant ecologist whose research focuses on community dynamics with a particular emphasis on ecological succession and plant invasions.

This work has inculded a variety of approaches, including plant-soil microbe interactions, plant traits, and manipulative experiments. He is currently working on a book about plant invasions in forested systems. He is also an avid gardner and and tree collector, with a half-acre chestnut orchard.
