Nanette Orly

Nanette Orly is a Los Angeles–based curator whose work focuses on migratory experience in contemporary art, particularly through the medium of food, developing inclusive methodologies that bridge local and global cultural dialogues.
She is currently Curator at Active Cultures, a nonprofit exploring the intersection of art, food, and ecologies, and a Steering Committee member of GYOPO, an organization dedicated to Korean arts and culture in Los Angeles and beyond. Previously, as Senior Curator at Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA), she curated the award-winning exhibition SIMMER (2021), featuring local cooks alongside Australian and international artists; in 2024, she curated her first international exhibition, between the lines, at Openspace Bae in Busan, South Korea. In 2026, she launched Full Circle, a newsletter tracing food history through contemporary art and local culture in Los Angeles. She holds a Master of Curating and Cultural Leadership from the University of New South Wales, Art & Design, Sydney.
