Guidelines for Visiting the Sitka Center during Workshop Season
- Lunch and refreshments: Please bring your own lunch. Microwaves and refrigerators are available. Coffee and tea are complimentary. Light snacks and canned beverages are available for purchase.
- Parking: Park only in Sitka Center-designated areas.
- No onsite camping, including sleeping vehicles, is permitted.
- Vehicle restrictions: Campers, boats, trailers, or oversized vehicles are not permitted at Sitka or in the surrounding neighborhood.
- Smoking Policy: The Sitka Center is a smoke-free and e-cigarette-free environment.
- Health and safety: Sitka’s health and safety policies, including COVID precautions, may change according to current guidelines.
- Pets: Leave pets at home. Pets are not allowed anywhere on campus, including outdoor spaces, studios, residences, offices or in parked cars. Service animals are welcome; please notify our team in advance.
- Accessibility: If stairs are a concern, we can provide assistance and an alternative drop-off point. Please contact the office in advance to arrange.
- Office hours: For further assistance, call during our summer office hours, 9am-5pm, M-F. For weekend help during workshop season, a staff person will be available on site to assist you.
Cancellations
If a workshop is cancelled by Sitka, you will be notified at least 14 days prior to the start date and you will receive a full refund. If you need to cancel your workshop participation, please email info@sitkacenter.org or call 541-994-5485
- Cancelling 21+ days prior to your workshop = 100% refund less a $35 administrative fee
- Cancelling 14-20 days prior to workshop = 50% refund
- Cancelling fewer than 14 days prior to workshop = 0% refund
