Anna Chapman

  • Curators, Educators and Community Organizers 2026

Anna Chapman is an artist, an art educator, and a community arts facilitator.

These three modes of practice directly inform each other, yielding a sustainable and holistic approach that allows me to flow between intuitive expression, communal/environmental relationality, and creative mentorship. In her practice, art queers into the realms of ecology, herbalism, education, craft, healing, and community.
Anna received a BFA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2012, a Master of Arts in Art Education from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2022, and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2025. In addition to teaching in university settings, she teaches a course called “Sustain(ability) & the Art Studio” twice a year through ecoartspace, an online platform for artists addressing environmental issues.
