Bia Gayotto

Working across photography, film, installation, books, and collaborative projects, her practice combines fieldwork, documentation, and community engagement to explore the interconnected relationships between people, place, and ecological systems. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Orange County Museum of Art, and the Museum of Contemporary Art, São Paulo. She has received numerous grants and fellowships, including the City of Los Angeles (C.O.L.A.) Fellowship and the Center for Cultural Innovation’s Investing in Artists grant, and has developed place-based projects through residencies in Canada, Taiwan, Brazil, and across the United States. Her recent work focuses on trees, watersheds, and the hidden networks that sustain life, examining how art can deepen our understanding of ecological change and our relationship to the living world.
