  • Interdisciplinary 2026

Carol Sogard is a designer, artist and educator whose multidisciplinary practice centers on sustainability and material awareness.

She works primarily with reclaimed plastics, natural and artificial detritus, repurposed textiles, and photographic images to create installations, collages, and taxonomic arrangements that document and reinterpret everyday waste. She currently lives in Salt Lake City, Utah and is a Professor of Graphic Design at the University of Utah. Her
role as an educator is deeply connected to her studio practice, and both are grounded in a desire to engage others with the natural world as it has evolved in the Anthropocene.
