Elva Bennett (they/them) is an interdisciplinary artist and former climate scientist working in sculpture and illustration.

Their ceramic sculptures and illustrated forms explore the weighty grace of patch-worked trans bodies in moments of overlap. Their warped figurative forms play with corporeal perception and tease the soft edges of the body to ask what is the essential part of us that endures while our containers expand; contract; change irreparably? They hold an M.A. in Climate & Society from Columbia University and a B.S. in Environmental Science from UNC Chapel Hill. Elva is a southerner who has found home in Seattle, Washington.
