Lauren Ohlgren, from Corvallis, Oregon, has worked in various mediums; hand painted silk art-to- wear, encaustics, book arts, charcoal, urban sketching, nature journaling, and mixed media.

She has taught classes and workshops in abstract design, mixed media, charcoal, book arts and travel journaling through Linn-Benton Community College for over 18 years, and with the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology for five years. She has a strong penchant for creating art communities and getting others to play.
