Sadé DuBoise
- Interdisciplinary 2026
Sadé DuBoise is a multiracial, multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Portland, Oregon, and based in Tigard.
She blends painting, fiber art, and cultural storytelling, centering Black and Indigenous women alongside surrealist self-portraits. An Alaskan Native (Tlingit) and Black artist, she draws on memory, ancestral practices, and personal narrative to explore identity. During her Sitka residency, she will create her first traditional Tlingit octopus bag using contemporary practices. Her work is held in the collections of the Portland Art Museum, the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, and the King School Museum of Contemporary Art.
