Weight of Bees

Vaughan Ashlie Fielder and Daniel Rose make chapbooks and broadsides as Weight of Bees, a tendril of The Field Office.
They have been working on poetry projects together since 2014, combining the words of poets and writers with analog photography processes, linocut carvings, letterpress, and more. They make a chapbook annually featuring one poem from each of The Field Office Poets, and they have made limited run, handbound chapbooks for Dorianne Laux (“SALT”), Ross Gay (“Paper Menus and Cash”), and Dorianne Laux’s writing collective
(“NICKEL”).
In 2022, they collaborated with The Care Center in Mt. Holyoke to make two chapbooks featuring students’ work. Their broadsides have included the words of many poets,
and a broadside they made for the 24 th U.S. Poet Laureate Ada Limón was distributed by the Library of Congress. Their work has been displayed in exhibits at James Madison University and the National Gallery of Art. They live and print in Lexington, Kentucky.
