Karen Baines serves as the Regional Operations Manager for the commercial real estate firm, Colliers International, where she manages operating budgets, enhances employee engagement, oversees team training, plans events and drives efficiencies across multiple markets. Outside the office, Karen is an avid nature enthusiast and can often be found backpacking in the Pacific Northwest or exploring remote islands.

She was first introduced to Sitka in 2008 during the Art Invitational and was immediately hooked. She has been a dedicated volunteer for the event ever since, where you can still find her managing the sales computers each year.

Joining the board in 2024 felt like a natural transition, where she looks forward to combining her passion for finance and nature, contributing to Sitka’s success for many years to come.
