Description

In this one-day workshop, you will learn the art of carving molds into cuttlebones, pouring molten silver, and applying finishing techniques to create beautiful jewelry. By the end of the workshop, you will proudly take home a one-of-a-kind finished piece of silver jewelry that you created.

About the Instructor

Junko Iijima has been teaching metalsmithing and design in colleges and art centers in the US since 1995.

Junko Iijima has been teaching metalsmithing and design in colleges and art centers in the US since 1995. Her teaching at Clacakcams Community College and her artwork have been featured on OPB’s Art Beat. Junko focuses on students’ success in creating their work. In her work, she focuses on the intertwining cultures of the Japanese where she is from, and the United States where she lives.
