Description
Learn basic stop motion animation techniques using your smartphone and the imotion pro app. Students will learn how to create short stop motion videos using found objects, clay and cardboard. Day 1 we will collect and make objects to animate. This will include a beach combing expedition. Demos and exercises to get started. Day 2 will be all about animating with an emphasis on experimenting and ending with a group project. Students can set up outdoors or make a stage area indoors. Animation history and tips on timing and theory will be discussed. We will be making very short pieces 2-10 seconds long that can loop (play over and over) or be edited together as vignettes.
