Description

In this relaxed workshop, we will be drawing maritime treasures on toned paper using colored pencils. Let sand dollars, shells, crab shells, or any other treasures you may find on beach walks inspire you to interpret their unique textures and form with colored pencils. We will begin with an overview of sketching from observation, measuring for accuracy, and adding shading to create volume. We will be exploring a variety of colored pencil techniques and convey realism using realistic and subjective color. Finally, we will explore dynamic compositions and cast shadows.
