In this workshop, participants will learn to see more photographic possibilities and create more compelling compositions. Tne instructor will hold classroom discussions and provide exercises to the group, then participants will be given time to explore landscapes around the Sitka campus, putting their ideas into practice. This nontechnical workshop is appropriate for both serious photographers and artists working in other media who would like to improve their photographs. This workshop will follow a non-traditional schedule, combining field sessions before sunset and in the early morning with an extended midday break.
Bryan David Griffith’s work spans multiple media, using simple materials and experimental techniques to explore contemporary issues. His work is featured in solo museum exhibitions and held in several museum and public collections. Bryan focuses on cultivating the creative spark within his students and helps them discover new possibilities.
