Workshop Overview

Embark on a three-day exploration of acrylics at the Sitka Center! On the first day, delve into underpainting, loose and creative drawing, composition, color, and transferring techniques. Day two focuses on starting your paintings, diverse brush strokes, incorporating techniques like scraping, collage, and agitation/stamping for added texture and interest. The third day is dedicated to completing and varnishing our initial paintings. If time permits, the class may commence another painting, building on the lessons of the preceding days. With a collaborative atmosphere throughout, this workshop culminates in a show and share session.
