This workshop will allow participants to tap into their artistic intuition by playing with sumi, walnut and Noodler’s ink. We will begin with warm exercises, working with abstraction, accidents and letting go of control. Over the course of the two day workshop we will begin to bring figurative elements in, inspired by the surrounding nature and our internal experiences.
Lettie Jane Rennekamp is an artist, muralist, and parent. Her work often centers on the body and what it means to inhabit one in this world. They use illustrations depicting people, plants and pattern to try to capture more abstract ideas like moving through grief or self acceptance. They hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The San Francisco Art Institute and attended Rhode Island School of Design. She continued her art education at PNCA and Portland Community College taking illustration and ceramics courses, and believes that being a lifelong learner makes her a more experienced teacher.
